Meet our wines
The 2017 Roussanne was made from specially selected small lot grapes from Lawrence vineyard in Royal City (the new Frenchman Hills AVA) and Dineen Vineyards in the Yakima valley. It is made from 100% Roussanne grapes. The grapes were hand-picked and pressed whole cluster into 4 year old French oak barrels and fermented slowly in the barrels. The wine was aged on the lees in the barrels for 5 months, with stirring of the lees (Bâtonnage) performed once a week in order to extract and integrate all the flavors in the wine, then racked off the lees.
Tasting notes: The Roussanne was bottled in May 2018 and continues to mature in the bottle. It drinks beautifully now, especially when it has a chance to breathe, open up and display the range of tastes and aromas hidden within. A medium body, refreshing round wine with notes of citrus fruit and lychee. Firm acidity, and nice finish. This Roussanne will continue to mature for the next five years. Recommended drinking 2018-2023

The 2016 Syrah was made from exceptional grapes, sourced in tiny amounts from Yellow Jacket Vineyard in The Rocks AVA and Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla Valley. It is made from 100% Syrah grapes. 50% of the grapes were destemmed and 50% were fermented whole cluster in open bins, taking advantage of the natural cool temperature of the winery. The wine was aged in French oak barrels (25% new) for 19 months to gain complexity and structure while allowing the fruit to shine. The wine was only racked once before bottling. The Syrah was bottled unfiltered and unfined.
Tasting notes: The Syrah is a big, full bodied wine with full mid palate and long finish. It gives notes of black berries, thyme and mocha. Floral with red berries on the nose. Recommended drinking 2018-2026
